Whether you're an Architect, Developer or Contractor, our house-type plans are now available to download open source and for free from the resource tab on our website.
The construction industry flourishes through innovation and advancement. We are convinced that adopting open innovation will open up new opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, contemporary construction techniques, and sustainability. When architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers collaborate transparently, ideas can circulate more freely, resulting in innovative solutions that prioritize safety and quality.
Our design approach embraces the 'Industrialisation of construction' streamlines processes to achieve greater efficiency and consistency. By adopting standardised components and practices we strive to eliminate unnecessary variability in our delivery process leading to improved productivity and cost-effectiveness. This shift towards industrialisation paves the way for a more structured and predictable approach to our projects.
At the core of industrialisation in construction is the concept of a "kit of parts." Similar to assembling furniture using pre-designed components, this approach involves using standardised building elements and processes to create a cohesive final product. By breaking down projects into modular components that are easily replicable, we can achieve economies of scale, drive continuous improvement, and ensure greater commonality and repeatability in our deliverables.
Like a complex Lego model with standard blocks, Creu Cartref dwelling types are designed from a limited number of interchangeable room modules and components, fully coordinated in our 3D design software, and derived from nine room modules.
Creu Cartref's room module design approach accommodates all construction methods, from traditional brick and block to fully modularized off-site construction and provides cost certainty, ease of building, and easy maintenance.
We are continuously refining our design approach on live projects through the RIBA Workstages to construction. To be kept up to date with our research/ development, innovation and efficiency drive follow our updates by subscribing here.
